일본 음식배달서비스의 경쟁사는 '편의점'이다 MMD연구소의 연구 결과에 따르면 일본은 아직 배달앱에 우리나라만큼 익숙하지 않는 것이 명확해 보인다. 배달의 민족역시 일본 시장에 미리 진출했었다가 쓴 고배를 마신 것으로 안다. 하지만 배민 진출이 시기적으로 이른것이었을 수도 있고 한 번의 실패가 그 시장에서 영원히 불가능함을 의미하지 않기에 현재의 일본의 흐름 역시 놓치지 않으려고 정보를 취합하면서 원인들을 분석해보고자 생각한다. MMD연구소의 2019년 9월 자료에서는 인터넷에서 음식배달앱을 1년 내에 사용한 적 있는 사람은 약 3%라고 한다. 자주 사용하는 서비스는 직영점 서비스(도미노 피자나 맥도날드 등), , Uber Eats(우버이츠)이다. 직영점 40.5%, 데마에칸 21.1%, 우버이츠 12%, LINE데리마 9.3%, 라쿠텐딜리버리 7.. 에그 드롭, 외식 인큐베이팅 산업의 그 시작점 에그 드롭이 너무나도 눈에 띄길래 그냥 맛은 기대안하다가 이른 오전(여의도점은 평일 8시부터, 주말은 10시부터)에 문을 여는 곳이 없어서 한번 가봤다. 내가 브리오슈번을 좋아하는 걸 어케알고(다들 좋아한다...) 브리오슈번 메뉴가 최근에 추가된 것 같았다. 나는 버거는 브리오슈번이 있는 메뉴아니면 되도록 먹지 않는 편인데 에그 드랍의 번메뉴 추가는 좋은 선택이라고 생각한다. 특히 마음에 들었던 건 에그 드랍 내부 인테리어다. 무광에 환장하는 나는 에그드롭 내부 의자를 보자마자 만지고말았다.
